I have been eye-balling this round table at Vintage Etc. Antiques for a while now. It just so happened that the vendor that was selling this table was moving out, and wanted to take as little as possible with him so I was able to get it at a GREAT price!!
I wasn’t very fond of the blondish-yellow wood, but I absolutely loved the shape!
I sanded my little heart out, and the hard work paid off. I am happy to report that there was beautiful wood underneath the blondish-yellow top coat.
Sanding around the spindles was a pain in the rear, but it was definitely worth it!!
It took me a little while to figure out exactly how I should beautify this lovely piece. After asking Max a million questions, and having a debate with myself I finally decided to paint only the spindles, and glaze the tops.
Once the paint dried I rubbed the glaze over the spindles as well.
Adding the glaze gave this piece a complete polished look.
Isn’t she ravishing?
I won’t be disappointed if this piece doesn’t sell. Shh!

I have been trying to get all of my furniture from Brady and Pecos to put in my new booth at Vintage Etc. Antiques here in Lubbock. Since they are both four hours away this has taken a little time. I went this past weekend to Brady, and brought back a truck bed full of furniture, and a lot of smalls inside with me.
I will be pretty busy the next few days prepping pieces to add to my booth. This is how it currently looks.
I am going to do some re-arranging as soon as I finish some of the bigger pieces, but for now my booth is full, and ready to be shopped in! 🙂
It is so nice to be able to put my finished pieces in my booth instead of in a pile in my garage! I get all giddy inside every time I think about having my very own booth. Ahh!!
Below are a few more pictures of my booth.
The box above is perfect for holding throw pillows when the couch is full, or even for keeping your throw blankets in when you have minimal closet space. We had this problem at our house in Midland!
I found this rusty old gas tank at an estate sale near Brady. My brother, Coy, is the one that pointed it out to me. I really wanted it, but wasn’t wanting to spend as much as they were asking for it. Luckily, I had to go back out the next day to pick up some old metal window frames (I will share those with y’all in another post.. they are beauties), and EVERYTHING was FIFTY percent off!! For fifty percent off there was no way I could pass the red, rusty gas can up. I even did a little more shopping, and found some fantastic items that I had missed the first day. I will share more about these great finds in another post.
Some exciting news!!
I have paired up with Brittanie at Paisley Pistol Boutique, and we now have a booth at Reno’s on the square down town Brady, TX! Brittanie has some beautiful summer clothing that she will be putting in our booth along with Lovely Rubbish’s furniture and home decor. Reno’s on the square serves various ice creams including some homemade, sandwich’s, and salads. If you live in the heart of Texas, or are just passing through make sure to stop in, check out our booth, and grab a delicious ice cream!
